Cardiometabolic and Imaging Core
A major goal of the Cardiometabolic and Imaging Phenotyping Core is to provide expertise, state-of-the-art equipment, and resources for assessment of cardiovascular, renal and metabolic phenotypes in rodents. Another goal is to provide high resolution imaging technologies, training and consultation, data analysis, image processing, and centralized technical expertise to support imaging needs.
Specific aims of this core are:
- To provide services that foster cutting-edge cardiorenal and metabolic research of the highest quality.
- To provide a centrally located, well-equipped and state-of-the art Cardiometabolic Phenotyping and Imaging Core that provides support and training for all aspects of phenotypical measurements, image and morphometric analyses.
- To provide new-cutting-edge technologies that can be used by investigators to implement novel approaches to cardiorenal and metabolic disease research.
- To provide maintenance and supervision of key equipment and provide training, technical support, and supervision for all investigators, staff and students in the proper utilization of core equipment.
